THE body of a 37-year-old man has been discovered in Wylam.
Police said they received the report at 11.15am on Sunday.
Officers attended the scene and found the man's body near the Railway Bridge.
A Northumbria Police spokeswoman said: "There is not believed to be any third party involvement and a report is being prepared for the coroner.
"Enquiries are ongoing to locate the next of kin and they will be supported by a specially trained officer."
