A CALENDAR chronicling all of Prudhoe’s greatest highlights has been produced by two community-minded photographers.

The 2019 Prudhoe Community Partnership calendar has been put together by Moira and Bill Wooldridge, who regularly attend many of the town’s events along with their cameras to capture what’s going on.

Moira said the pair saw this year’s calendar as a snapshot of “reasons to be proud of Prudhoe” and “things that make Prudhoe special”, with each month focusing on different things, people or events which reflect what has been happening in Prudhoe over the past year.

The 2019 calendar features events like the Prudhoe’s Miners’ Race and the Dragon Tale Theatre Group’s performance, along with some special views around the town.

Meanwhile, some of the pictures capture Prudhoe’s involvement in national events, such as the Ready Steady Knit shop’s Royal Wedding display and a silent soldier to mark the centenary of the end of the First World War.

Moira and Bill create a different calendar every year for the Prudhoe Community Partnership.

The partnership, which is a community-led charity – which among its work runs the Prudhoe Spetchells Centre building – will receive any profit from the calendar to fund further initiatives for local people in the town.

The calendars are now available at Prudhoe Stationery Shop and at the library or upstairs office at the Spetchells Centre.
