THERE always seems to be something which challenges the organisers of Greenhead‘s annual duck day.
Two years ago, it was a dry period which meant there was insufficient water in the Tipalt Burn to accommodate hundreds of floating plastic ducks, and last year the burn was in flood.
It was a challenge of a slightly different nature on Sunday - for the heavens opened half an hour before the race was due to start.
But the weather had no adverse impact on participation, with no fewer than 860 ducks entered, and a wide range of other attractions, which included a welly throwing competition, a dog show, and stalls offering crafts and more.
