VERY few letters you publish about the EU referendum debate mention democracy.

The UK democratic system is entirely different from the EU.

The elected EU Parliament has no power to instigate legislation and can only debate the legislation that is instigated by the EU Commission.

Each state appoints a commissioner to the EU Commission and they make the laws and decide what we do, how we do it and when.

The Commission is not accountable, but by its nature, listens to the lobbyists and international corporations.

You know the ones, as they support the Remain vote.

The Remain campaign calls this democracy!

The objective of the EU is to become a Federal State of Europe which will have the authority to raise taxes and be responsible for the creation and implementation of all laws and regulations.

On June 23, we have a choice – control our own destiny or have it done by unelected commissioners.
