A POPULAR Tynedale pub has been named among the top 10 pubs in the UK.
The Boathouse on Station Road in Wylam was put on the Pick of the Pubs list following a study by Holidaycottages.co.uk.
The pub, which came in ninth place, gained 10 out of 10 for its drinks quality, seven out of 10 for its food and nine out of 10 for its location.
The holidaycottages.co.uk website reads: "The Boat House is a pub that takes its beer very seriously, boasting 14 hand-pull options at any one time.
"Their bank holiday beer festivals attract crowds from Newcastle and beyond, and their dedication to sourcing the best draught ales has seen them win a staggering 15 CAMRA awards over the years.
"A welcoming pub that has a dog friendly policy and a Tuesday busker night, it offers feel-good vibes all week long."
