TWO men have been arrested after a report of bogus door-to-door callers in the Ovingham area.
On Sunday, police were made aware of callers in and around the village who were claiming to be from Barnardos.
Police have now arrested two men, aged 17 and 21, on suspicion of fraud by false representation.
Inquiries are ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact Northumbria Police on 101 quoting reference 621 14/01/18.
