BRADBEER Elizabeth Gay Stagshaw/Great Whittington Peacefully in hospital on 25th December 2021, aged 77 years. Dr, Elizabeth Gay Bradbeer beloved wife of Ronald, loving mother of Katherine and the late Timothy a loved and devoted grandma to Milly and Olly and a dear sister of Susan and Geoff. Private Service and Cremation, followed by a Service of Thanksgiving at St John Lee Church Acomb on Wednesday 2nd February at 12.30 pm. Family flowers only please donations in lieu of flowers to Haltwhistle Hospital Charitable Fund c/o Dodd's of Hexham NE46 2EW.

I was very sorry to hear of Gay's passing. When I very young and going to school in Hexham, Gay was always very kind to me (she taught lessons at the school for a while. I think - as a small child I wasn't sure who was doing what exactly! But her kindness stayed with me). Over the years we spent a fair bit of time together as we had shared cousins, and she was always known as "Auntie Gay" as a result. I was very captivated by their remote house at Stagshaw Bank and especially the fact that a "Snow Cat" was required to get to civilisation after snow fall.
My thoughts are with her family.
