PAST members of Northumberland Young Farmers’ Clubs trod the boards last week to taker part in their annual pantomime.

There were plenty of cheers and boos from the audience as the 27Up production company put on the performance of Alice and Wonderland at Hexham’s Queen’s Hall. Ex-members included those from Whitley Chapel YFC, Hexham YFC and Haltwhistle YFC.

Directing the performance this year was Tom Richardson, of Wheelbirks Farm in Stocksfield and Clare North-Lewis.

Tim Reed took to the role of the White Rabbit, David Carr and Stewie Weatherson were comedic double-act Dum and Dee, Lucinda Richardson took on the role of the villain, the Knave whilst Leila Smith was everyone’s favourite heroine Alice.

Tom stepped into the shoes of the Mad Hatter for the performance.
