ARTISTS from across the county will take part in a joint exhibition hosted in Hexham this week.

Students from the the Wall North Contemporary, an art hub run by artist and lecturer Enrique Azocar, will join up with students from Morpeth Art Group, Felton Art Group and Stannington Art Group for the annual 2019 Alumnae Exhibition held at The Art Studio in Hexham.

A selection of work created in different media including watercolour, oil, acrylic, and pastel will be on display for visitors.

Enrique said: “This exciting innovation we want to keep the art scene revitalised and dynamic in Hexham, and make the town a creative capital in the North-East.

“We’re about embracing and growing our artistic community, and supporting local artists by networking and working together.

“I’m hoping to see local people, businesses and charity organisations turning up to support us.”

Artists whose work will be on display include David Bowater, Ella Comforth, Margaret Campbell, Iris Carr, Val Davidson, Derek Gunby, Adrian Morley, William Morrison-Bell, Alison Jones, Bob Taylor, Pat Reed, Darren Spencer and Tanya Merridew.

Jaqui Hill will join from Morpeth, Julie Gregory from Felton and Christine Watson from Stannington.

The exhibition runs from Friday, October 25 until November 3.
