Core Music, based in Hexham, is to host its annual birthday gig, with all the performers involved with the organisation in one form or another.
Core9 Live! will take place on Saturday, October 7, at Hexham’s Queen’s Hall, at 7.30pm.
Performers this year include regulars, first-timers and special showcases, while there will be an original song written by a participant on a Core Music songwriting course.
Core Music founder and managing director Mike Coleman said: “Our birthday concert is always a fantastic evening of musical entertainment for all the family, covering everything from rock, pop, bluegrass and folk to classical and jazz.
“We aim to showcase as many groups as we can fit on stage, all of whom either rehearse at Core Music or originated here.
“We’re really looking forward to it!”
He added: “It’s not just a great event for our performers and audience, it’s also a major fund-raiser to allow us to continue and expand our musical activities in the local community over the coming months.”
Tickets are available from Core Music, Queen’s Hall box office or online at www.queenshall.co.uk
