Notice of Making of an Order Highways Act 1980 Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 the County Council of Durham (Public Path No. 9 Cornsay Parish) Public Footpath Creation and Definitive Map and Statement Modification Order 2022

The above order, made on 17th June 2022, under section 26 of the Highways Act 1980, will create a public footpath No. 9 Cornsay Parish running from its current southern termination point on the current route of Footpath No.l, proceeding in a generally south-south-easterly direction to a point on the new route of Footpath No. 1, as shown on the order map. The above order will also modify the Definitive Map and Statement of the Public Rights of Way for County Durham by deleting and adding the footpath described.

A copy of the order and the order map have been placed and may be seen free of charge at the at Esh Winning library during normal opening hours and via the Council website.
Any representations about or objections to the order may be sent in writing addressed to Sharon Renwick, Legal Assistant, County Hall, Durham DH1 5UL or by email to

Highways.orders@durham.gov.uk

(ref: 33640) not later than 21 July 2022. Please state the grounds on which they are made. If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, the County Council of Durham may confirm the order as an unopposed order. If the order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment for confirmation any representations or objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the order. Dated: 23 June 2022
