Northumberland County Council Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 -Section 14(1) Parish Of Simonburn Public Footpath Number 14 & Parish Of Wark Public Footpath Number 41 (Temporary Public Footpath Closure) Order 2022

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by pedestrian traffic on the Parish of Simonburn Public Footpath No 14 & Parish of Wark Public Footpath No 41, for the lengths outlined below, in the County of Northumberland. The lengths of Public Footpaths No 14 & No 41 which are affected are as follows:-Parish of Simonburn Public Footpath No 14 From a point 900 metres northwest of Haughtongreen, in a north easterly direction, for a distance of 2500 metres, to a point 1400 metres south of Ladyhill, at the junction with Parish of Wark Public footpath No 41. Parish of Wark Public Footpath No 41 From a point 1400 metres south of Ladyhill, in a northerly direction, for a distance of 1600 metres, to a point 315 metres northwest of Ladyhill, at the junction with the C205 road. The Order is to be effective from the 13th of June 2022 until 13th of December 2022. There is an alternative route available, from a point 900 metres northwest of Haughtongreen, in a general northerly then easterly direction, via Forestry roads, to meet Parish of Wark Public Footpath No 43, in a north-westerly direction to Ladyhill. The closure has been requested by Forestry England to enable forestry clearance operations following Storm Arwen.
