NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 -SECTION 14(1) U8290 GILESGATE HEXHAM (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2021
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U8290 Gilesgate from its entrance to the car park heading eastwards for a distance 35 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 10th January 2022 until the 31st January 2022.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 10th January 2022 until the 16th January 2022 however it will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via the Market Street, Back Row, Hallstile Bank, Haugh Lane, Eilansgate, Alexander Place, Giles Place, Gilesgate.

The closure has been requested by Hexham Wool Warehouse Ltd to facilitate the removal of girders to the buildings front facade.
