(PUBLIC RIGHTS OF WAY. FOOTPATH NO 72. DURHAM CITY) (TEMPORARY FOOTPATH CLOSURE) ORDER 2020
The Council proposes to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended, Section 14 (1) to prohibit all pedestrian traffic from proceeding on an approx 11m section of PROW Fp 72 Durham City from Durham Market Place, Durham at the southern side of the closure in a north westerly direction to the entrance of Durham Indoor Market Hall to enable flag installation works on the facade of Durham Town Hall to be undertaken. An alt route will be available for pedestrians from northern side of closure on Walkergate in an easterly direction, then southerly into Market Place, and vice versa. Access to Spice Lounge and Indoor Market Hall will be available via Walkergate. The maximum duration of the Order is 6 months. The proposed works are required between 8am & 5.30 pm on 5/10/2020 & for the duration of the works anticipated to be 1 day (between 8am & 5.30 pm). On occasions, alternative dates for closure may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly. Access will be maintained for emergency services.
(NORTH ROAD. DURHAM CITY)
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2020 The Council proposes to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, Section 14 (1) to prohibit all vehicular traffic from proceeding on 115m of North Road between its junctions with Neville Street & the North Rd/Millburngate June, Durham City to enable carriageway & footway remodelling works to be undertaken. An alt route will be available to vehicular traffic from the north western side of the closure from 1. Neville St southerly onto Crossgate then westerly to A690 then north easterly on A690 to North Rd Roundabout & continuing to 2. as below 2. A690 North Rd Roundabout easterly to A691 Millburngate Roundabout then southerly to Millburngate leading to North Rd to the south eastern side of the closure. The maximum duration of the Order is 18 months. The proposed works are to commence on 28/9/2020 & are anticipated to be completed in 3 weeks. On occasions, alt dates for closure may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly.
(UNC 27.2 HETT MILL LEVEL CROSSING. HETT)
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2020 The Council proposes to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended, Section 14 (1) to prohibit all vehicular traffic from proceeding on 700m of Unc 27.2 Hett from the junc with Leeman's Ln in a northerly direction to Tursdale House to enable Network Rail works (to allow the road rail vehicle to access/egress the railway line) to be undertaken. The maximum duration of the Order is 18 months. The proposed works are to commence at 11.30pm on 3/10/2020 until 8.00am next day. Closed road will be re-opened when works vehicle is on railway line. On occasions, alternative dates for closure may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly.
(FELLWAY. PELTON FELL)
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2020 The Council proposes to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, Section 14 (1) to prohibit all vehicular traffic from proceeding on a 15m of Fellway, outside nos 10 & 19, Pelton Fell to enable new sewer works to be undertaken. An alt route will be available to vehicular traffic from the northern side of the closure via the eastern section of Fellway leading to Wordsworth Ave to the southern side of the closure, and vice versa. The maximum duration of the Order is 18 months. The proposed works are to commence at 8am on 5/10/2020 and are anticipated to be completed in 8 weeks. On occasions alternative dates for closure may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly.
(STATION STREET. WATERHOUSES)
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2020 The Council proposes to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended Section 14 (1) to prohibit all vehicular traffic from proceeding on approx 100m of Station St, Waterhouses from southern side of closure at junc with Russell St in a northerly direction to no 24 Station St to enable carriageway resurfacing works to be undertaken. A DCC operative will be on site at all times to assist with access/egress. The max duration of the Order is 18 months. The proposed works are required between 7am & 7pm on 5/10/2020 for the duration of the works anticipated to be 1 day. On occasions, alt dates for closure may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly. Access will be maintained for emergency services.
(MILL FARM ROAD. HAMSTERLEY MILL)
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2020 The Council proposes to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended, Section 14 (1) to prohibit all vehicular traffic from proceeding on 30m of Mill Farm Rd that extends southwards from North Lodge (1 Mill Farm Rd), Hamsterley Mill to enable electricity cable works to be undertaken. There is no alt route available to vehicular traffic during the closure. The maximum duration of the Order is 18 months. The proposed works are to commence at 8am on 2/10/2020 & for the duration of the works anticipated to be 1 day. On occasions alt dates for closure may be necessary & these will be signed accordingly.
(OFF STREET PARKING PLACES) (DURHAM CITY PARK AND RIDE SITES) ORDER 2005 (AMENDMENT NO. 1) ORDER 2020 The Council on 11/9/2020 made an Order under Sections 32,33,34 & 35 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which comes into operation on 24/9/2020 and is to revoke article 7 in its entirety and in its place insert "All drivers and their vehicle passengers are not permitted to park without paying for AND using the park and ride bus service for their onward Journey. The onward journey must take place from the park and ride service site at which drivers vehicle has been parked". Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by "the Act", as amended, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or of any regulation made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within 6 weeks from 17/9/2020 apply to make an application for that purpose to the High Court.

AND BLOEMFONTEIN) (PARKING AND WAITING RESTRICTIONS) (CONSOLIDATION NO 1) ORDER 2017 (AMENDMENT No 1) ORDER 2020 The Council on 11/9/2020 made the above Order under Sections 1, 2 & 4 and Pt. IV of Sch. 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. Effective from 24/9/2020 this Order will introduce No Waiting at Any Time Restrictions on; a. the southwest side of Tanfield Lea Rd from a point adj to the side of No. 1 West St for 22m to a point adj to the rear of No.l West St b. Southwest side of Tanfleld Lea Rd from a point adj to No. 4 Memorial Homes for 29m to a point adjacent to the side No. 1 Memorial Homes.
