JEWITT Michael It is with deep sadness that the Jewitt family announce the death of their beloved Michael (Mick) on 4th June. Husband of Helen, dad to Nichola, son of Vera and the late Archie, brother to David, Christopher, Barbara, Diane and Mandy, uncle to many. Mick was much loved and will be greatly missed by all of his family and many friends. There will be no funeral. A celebration of Micks life will be held, details to follow.

My deepest sympathy to you all . I was so sorry to hear this. I first met Mick way back in the 80s I think, when he was pickling wood at Knowesgate, before I became his doctor ( and occasionally his customer), before either of us were parents. I always think of him as quietly fantastic , coping with everything without grumbling and never ever taking it out on others (even when it took three goes to get his blood!). His health problems and of course his accident seemed to me so unfair and undeserved, but I dont recall him ever moaning. It was really nice to bump into him at the shops after I retired. A genuinely nice man , supported by a genuinely nice family . Thinking of you all.
