Denis TANNER

TANNER Denis (Catton) On June 4th 2021 after a long illness aged 97 years. Denis beloved husband of the late Kathleen, a dearly loved father to Alison, Jean, John, Joanne and son-in-law Derek and a loving grandad and great grandad. Denis will be sadly missed by all family and friends. Due to current restrictions a private Funeral Service at West Road Crematorium, Newcastle on Monday June 21st at 3.30pm. Donations in memory of Denis can be made to the Alzheimer's Society. Close friends and neighbours are welcome afterwards for refreshments at Denis's residence at 5.15pm.

Theres people you meet in life that leave a lasting impression on you, serving this absoulte gent was always a pleasure, generally he would be at a computer updating his travels diary from yestee year with his late wife, and i can imagine if it was published it would be a best seller. I once stayed with dennis after a fall and he sent me a lovely letter as appreciation, just a fine gentleman who would tell me about time at war.. Il always cherish those life lessons
