THOMAS Peacefully at home, on Friday 12th February, after a long illness, Pamela (Pam). Aged 81 Years. Dear wife of 60 years to David, beloved mother to Sue, Lynda and Nigel and adored granny of Mark, Sam, Owen, Nikki and Rhiannon. Pam lived in Hexham for 21 years and was actively involved in the Abbey, The Wednesday Club and was a long serving volunteer at Oxfam. She worked as a college lecturer until her retirement and subsequent move to Appleby in 2000. Private Funeral at St Lawrence's Church, Appleby on Wednesday 3rd March 11.30am. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to Oxfam (Any cheques payable to the charity) and can be sent c/o Walkers Funeral Directors, Chapel Street, Appleby in Westmorland, CA16 6QR.
