THE hills of Alston Moor were alive with the sound of music as the annual event returned bigger and better.

AlstonLIVE was held over two days for the first time last weekend, withmusic fans treated to more than 20 acts from across the country.

One of the highlights was the set from recently-formed three piece Dansi, made up of Wilf Stone, Michael Woodward John Lambeth from the town and surrounding villages.

They shared the My Giddy Aunt stage with locals Sean Taylor, Wreckage and Die No More, who set the mood for the later acts of The Jennifer Ewan Band, Rory Connor and Friends and headliners Leatherat.

There was plenty of entertainment on the Tent from Nent stage too, with a varied line-up from noon until Loop Cycle brought things to a close around 11pm.
