TYNEDALE Orchestra will be joined by two respected string soloists for a performance of Brahms’ Double Concerto at its next concert on Saturday, November 28.

Iona Brown is principal first violin with the Royal Northern Sinfonia, while cellist Nick Byrne performs with the Royal Northern Sinfonia and the BBC Philharmonic, among others.

The programme will get off to a lively start with Mendelssohn’s vivacious overture Ruy Blas and follow up with Brahms’ romantic Symphony No. 2.

Tickets for the concert, at 7.30pm at Corbridge Middle School, are available in advance from the box office in Hexham’s Queen’s Hall or on the door on the night.
