HEXHAM Morris are set to be one of the star attractions at a summer festival along the A69 in Cumbria.

Hexham Morrismen and the Hexhamshire Lasses are renowned as versatile and popular exponents of the art of English Morris dancing.

Collectively known as Hexham Morris they are frequent visitors to festivals in both this country and further afield where their performances are always enthusiastically received.

After a successful appearance at the Music on the Marr festival in the Cumbrian village of Castle Carrock last year, they’ve been invited back to entertain the crowds in 2016.

The festival, which takes place between July 21-24, has a growing reputation on the folk festival circuit and is now in its seventh year at its home near Brampton.
