The Stick Man trails are the latest initiative organised by Forestry Commission England in conjunction with Magic Light Pictures, following the award-winning Gruffalo Forest Tour last year.
Based on the much-loved book written by Julia Donaldson and illustrated by Axel Scheffler, Stick Man is set to premier this Christmas on BBC One as an animated special.
Self-led trails are now in place in Kielder Forest and 23 other forests across England. They will lead children and families through the forests using activity points which allow them to share the adventures of Stick Man, whilst learning about the importance of forests for people, wildlife and timber.
