TYNEDALE U15 sailed into the final four of the Northumberland County Plate with an emphatic victory over Berwick.

The Corbridge teenagers blew away their guests on their way to an 88-12 triumph at Tynedale Park, outplaying their opponents from the north throughout the encounter.

Despite having a reduced squad due to the half term holidays, Tynedale never let up and enjoyed well over 75 per cent of the possession in the opening half hour.

Joe Hanning ran in four tries and Harry Armstrong scored a hat-trick, while there were also tries for Henry White, Jake Tuddenham, Ben Robson, Danny Wilkinson, William Allcock, Sam Peter and Jack Donaldson.

Sam successfully converted seven tries, with Jack enjoying success with his boot on two occasions. James Brown was named man of the match.

Tynedale remained strong in the second half, however, Berwick never gave in and were rewarded in the form of two tries as the hosts' defence was finally breached.

Closest neighbours Ponteland stand in Tynedale's way of progressing to the final. The game is scheduled for Sunday, however, it may be rescheduled because of the school holidays.
