TYNEDALE‘s recent good form in North Division Two will be put to the acid test tomorrow, when they travel to league leaders Macclesfield.

Both sides were related last season, but while Tynedale have continued to struggle, the yo-yo side from Treacle Town seem set to bounce straight back to division one.

They are sitting 10 points clear at the top of the table, with 13 games left.

They had another comfortable win at South Leicester last Saturday where their rolling maul was again dominant.

Their pack was in total control in the second half of the reverse fixture at Corbridge earlier in the season which they won 47-20.

Their home at Priory Park is very much a stronghold, where they have won seven of their eight games, the only defeat being inflicted by second placed Sedgley Tigers.

At home, they have scored an average of 36 points per match whilst conceding an average of only 14.

Hopes that Tynedale would be returning to Corbridge for their next home game against Caldy have proved overly optimistic, with Kingston Park again the venue on February 6 - although hopes are high it could be an afternoon kick-off.
