TODAY marks the two year anniversary of the passing of popular farmer Stu Ridley, a player with Tynedale Rugby Club.

The larger than life character lost his five-month battle against a brain tumour in 2015, but his courage in the face of adversity won him many fans the world over.

Celebrities joined in the Stay Strong Stu campaign, which has raised hundreds of thousands of pounds for various charities, with Hollywood A-lister Jonah Hill, former England cricket captain Alastair Cook and England's Rugby World Cup hero Jonny Wilkinson showing their support for Stu's brave fight.

The 25-year-old's legacy will forever live on, and thousands of pounds continue to be raised in his name through the annual Stu's Super Saturday event at his second home, Tynedale Park, in May.
