TYNEDALE fans don't have long to wait for the much anticipated derby with old foes Blaydon returns.

The Corbridge side visit Crow Trees on the second game of the season, following up the opening day home game with Chester on September 2.

The rivals last went head-to-head during Tyne's relegation season in 2014-2015, but will resume hostilities on September 9 after Blaydon dropped down from National League One last season.

There is also a Christmas treat in store for both sets of supporters and players, as Blaydon head to Tynedale Park for the return fixture on December 23.

Ahead of the big kick off, Tynedale have four pre-season friendlies scheduled starting with Saturday's trip to Melrose.

An away game with Morpeth quickly follows next Tuesday, followed by two home games against Edinburgh-based opposition in Watsonian FC on August 19 and Boroughmuir on August 26.
