The Corbridge youngsters are yet to taste defeat this season, and extended their fantastic record as they overcame the challenge of Consett U17 in a friendly.
The team is in great form ahead of welcoming Percy Park in the final eight meeting at Tynedale Park, with captain Will Roberts untouchable as he scored four of his side’s five tries to help his side edge past Consett by the narrowest of margins at 27-26. Josh Keller also crossed the line, with one successful conversion from Sam Harrison proving pivotal in securing the victory.
The game with Consett was played at Kingston Park, the home of Premiership side Newcastle Falcons, as Consett’s pitches were unplayable due to snow.
