HAVING completed a two-year programme with the RFU, six members of Tynedale’s U15 team were selected to represent Northumberland.

Graduates from the Developing Player Pathway, Milo Robinson, Jake Tuddenham, Nathan Hatherley, Harry Armstrong, Ben Robson and Jack Donaldson played for the county in back-to-back games against Cumbria.

The Northumberland contingent was split into two squads as the Cumbrians visited North Shields, with scrum half Robinson and second row Tuddenham playing in the opening fixture which saw the Tyne lads help the side to a convincing 27-7 victory.

It was the turn of the other four Tynedale lads in the second game, which resulted in a narrow 17-12 defeat for Northumberland in a close fought game.

Prop Armstrong and lock Robson made some rampaging runs into Cumbrian territory which resulted in an early try from the latter, converted by Donaldson.
