TYNEDALE U15 turned the tables on Harrogate as they took a break from their Northumberland County Plate programme.
The Yorkshire team recorded a cricket score against the tired Tynedale tourists when the two met last year, but the Northumberland outfit exacted revenge in the reverse fixture by edging it 12-10.
From the kick off, Tynedale soaked up wave after wave of attacking pressure from Harrogate with some terrific tackling and commitment.
At crucial points, Tynedale managed to steal the ball with Matthew Robershaw particularly frustrating the visitors.
As the Harrogate armoury tired, Tyne responded with their own attack force and Ben Robson ran in their first Tynedale try with a burst of speed that burnt off the last defender. Sam Peter displayed good kicking skills all morning, and converted with ease.
Joe Hanning then showed some dazzling speed of his own, and his enormous strides secured a second try and victory for Tynedale.
