A FAMILIAR face will return to Tynedale Park when Otley roll in at the weekend.

For the Yorkshiremen have former Tynedale hooker Joe Graham as player/ coach among their ranks.

Graham played at the Corbridge side for a number of years before 2010 while dual registered for Newcastle Falcons, before his commitments at the Premiership side saw him cut ties with Tyne.

After stints with Bath and Rotherham Titans, he signed for Otley and will line up against his former teammates for the first time.

His Otley side currently boasts the worst defence in National League Two (North), having conceded 370 points in their 11 matches.

They have lost four of their five games on their travels, the only bright spot coming in a tight 17-14 victory against bottom club Wharfedale back in September.

In their last outing, they went down 38-15 at home to Hinckley.

After a weekend off, Tynedale return to action looking to make it 10 victories from their opening 12 fixtures as they keep up with the teams at the top of the table.

Seeing off a valiant comeback from Macclesfield to win 38-35, Tyne currently sit joint second and just two points off table topping Stourbridge, who have lost their past two games.

The frontrunners have a tough three weeks coming up too as, after Saturday's trip to sixth placed South Leicester, Stourbridge host second placed Hinckley and the travel to third placed Tynedale on December 9.

Tyne's game with Otley on Saturday kicks off at 2pm.
