TYNEDALE have no game this weekend, as National League Division Two takes a week off.
The club is therefore free to consider the implications of yet another shake-up of the league system by the RFU.
It has been decided that a new, fully professional league will be created immediately below the Guinness Premiership.
It is anticipated that Tynedale’s present league – currently National League Two with 14 teams – will be called National One next season, and will be made up of 16 teams.
To facilitate the new league structure, five teams will be relegated down into Tynedale’s league from the league above, instead of the usual two, and four relegated, instead of the usual three.
Only the top team in Tynedale’s league will be promoted, instead of the top two, and only two teams will be promoted into the league, instead of the usual three.
