Penzance side are first visitors of season

TYNEDALE will make a spectacular start to their first season in National League Division Two.

The opening fixture will be at home to Mounts Bay from Penzance in Cornwall on September 6, after which comes the long-awaited chance to lock horns once more with the old enemy Blaydon at Crowtrees.

It will be interesting to see how the neighbouring signs have developed since Blaydon’s year-long stay in the second division.

The first of Tynedale’s three trips to the West Country comes on September 27, when they make the 850-mile round trip to Launceston in Cornwall.

The other Cornish trips are on November 15, at Redruth, and the final game of the season at Mounts Bay.

The opportunity for revenge against Kent side Westcombe Park, who beat Tynedale in a promotion play-off last season, comes on October 11.

The eagerly-anticipated home match against Blaydon – the last side to win a league match at Tynedale Park in September 2006 – should be a Christmas cracker on December 20.
