A TYNEDALE Harrier recorded the world lead in the 60m hurdles, earning a British gold in the process.

Liam Collins posted a brilliant time of 8.14 seconds to be fastest in the over 35 class at this weekend’s British Masters Indoor Championships.

Rounding off a great day at London’s Lee Valley Athletics Centre, he posted personal bests to claim golds in both the 400m (50.38) and silver in the 60m (8.14)

Clubmate Darren Towart was unable to add to his Scottish Masters gold from the week before as he finished just out of the medals in the 400m despite a season best time of 53.58, but he did end with a bronze medal with a throw of 39m.
