GOING through the tournament unbeaten, Ponteland's netballers were crowned champions of Northumberland.
Ponteland High School's U16 girls' team excelled as they booked a place in the North-East finals, to take place in January.
After topping their group, they made their way past Morpeth's King Edward's VI High School in the semi-finals before clinching the trophy with victory in the final over Hehxam's Queen Elizabeth High School.
Ponteland possess a lethal weapon in goal attack Lucy Dodd, the teen catching the eye at a higher level too with selection to the North of England's development squad.
