IT’S tight at the top with little separating Conservative Club and Miners Arms after 16 games played.

The teams are level at the top on 27 points, with Conservative having a slightly better points difference to see them sitting pretty at the top.

The leaders have won 12 of their fixtures and drawn three, with 129 points for and 63 against.

Miners are keeping the pressure up though and have an identical result record, but have 124 points for and 68 against.

Just one point behind, Angle Inn B are in the mix with 12 wins and two draws.

Then follow both Railway Hotel and Wallace Warriors, tied in fourth spot on 21 points.

Alston Golf Club (18), Golden Lion (17), Angel Inn A (11), Allendale Inn (7), Turk’s Head (7), Wallace Wasters (6) and Victoria Inn (2) make up the rest of the division.

While Miners may be second at the moment, they did get one over Conservative Club in the final of the KO Challenge Cup.

The highest finish was produced by Ian Marshall, who has two 180s for the season along with Jack Pattinson.

Simon Pattinson currently enjoys most singles wins with 15 to his name, just one ahead of Ian Marshall. Jack Pattinson and W. Reay have 13.

Noreen White has most singles wins for the ladies with five, followed by both Ruth Harrison and Dee Smith with four. Judith Hunt and Hayley Nancarrow have two each.
