A TYNEDALE hotel has retained its title as best golf hotel resort in the North of England.

For the second year running, Slaley Hall, part of QHotels, was voted the best in the region by readers of the UK‘s best-selling gold magazine, Today’s Golfer Travel, at its annual awards.

Director of golf at Slaley, Jonny Mould, said: “Everyone at the resort is very proud to have won this award again. It makes it extra special that this honour is voted for by golfers, and is acknowledgement for all the hard work that everyone has put in over the last 12 months.

“It’s been another fantastic year for Slaley Hall which included celebrating our 25th anniversary, and this accolade further confirms our position as the leading golf course in North-East England.”

Over the past 25 years, Slaley has grown a reputation for top class golf over its two challenging championship courses of the Hunting and the Priestman.

During that time, it has played host to 18 European Tour and European Senior Tour events, with the likes of Colin Montgomerie, Lee Westwood and Retief Goosen among the list of winners.
