TWO sets of sisters qualified Corbridge Middle School for a national final - in skiing!
Isabelle (12) and Hannah Skinner (10) and Olivia Ashburn (12) and Ella Ashburn (10) topped the regional schools' final to book a place at the grand showdown in Norwich
The Corbridge girls shone as they took part in the dry slope slalom racing Sunderland, taking the school through to the main event in its first year of entering.
There was further success at the nationals too as Hannah was handpicked to join the England's primary junior training squad in Holland.
Katie Skinner, of Stocksfield, pulled the team on behalf of the school and was delighted with how well the girls performed.
She said: "It is the first time they have competed and they haven't even been skiing for a year yet. To make it to the national final was a fantastic achievement."
