NOMINATIONS for Tynedale's biggest sporting awards ceremony have opened.
Sport Tynedale is encouraging people to enter applications from local amateur sportspeople to its annual awards night, to be held at Hexham's Wentworth Leisure Centre on Sunday, December 10.
The awards night, sponsored by Prudhoe-based company Essity, is a celebration of grassroots sport throughout Tynedale and Ponteland, and is one of the biggest sporting events in the local calendar.
The categories are as follows: club, adult team, youth team, high school team, middle school team, young volunteer, disabled sports person, sportswoman, sportsman, young sportsman, young sportswoman, sports personality, coach and services to sport.
Nominations can be submitted via www.sport-tynedale.co.uk before November 3.
