The ex-member of the Hexham’s school rowing club was part of the Newcastle University senior coxless four crew which claimed the coveted first place.
It was a great day all round for rowers who started out at the QE club, Lamb joined at the event by Harriet Aubrook, Lucy Ryan and Amy Bowman.
After beating a crew from Tideway Scullers, St Andrew’s University were the next to fall to Newcastle’s might, with Oxford Brookes defeated in the semi-finals and Imperial College overcome in the final.
Harriet Aubrook competed in a coxless quad for Newcastle and they made made the quarter-finals before they were beaten by Oxford Brookes. To secure their place in the final eight, they beat Reading.
Lucy Ryan rowed in a double, for Reading, and they equalled the achievement. After beating Imperial College, they were eliminated in the quarters by Worcester.
Amy Bowman has taken a year out before started university but has been representing Tyne Rowing Club, and she partnered Laura Clack, coached by Dave Higgins, for the senior double.
They made the semi-finals after getting past both Tideway Scullers and Oxford Brookes, but lost to a Leeds and York City composite crew.
