A last minute winner from Gemma Stephenson saw them edge a close contest with Alnwick II in the final of the Northumberland Shield.
Tynedale took a while to settle into the game but were indebted to a string of saves from goalkeeeper Nicky Baguley to keep them in the game early on.
They did find a way past Baguley, but Tynedale were back on level terms soon after when a quickly taken self pass free hit from Sue Crawford sent the ball to Becca Glaister who finished off the move with a great strike.
Despite Tyne settling into their stride, Alnwick regained the lead after the break only to be pegged back immediately when Sarah Martindale scored with a great effoft from a short corner.
The game continued to swing from end-to-end with Alnwick again taking the lead, but Tynedale levelled for a third time with time running out when Lorraine Bell’s quick free hit was met by Alison Westworth, whose run was ended with a goal from Sophie Darling.
With golden goal extra time looming, it was over to Stephenson to clinch a late winner as she sent home the ball after picking up a rebound.
