HAVING just missed out on the number one spot on countback, it was Jeff Tallant‘s turn to enjoy a slim advantage in the latest round of Tynedale Golf Club’s Winter League.
Settling for the runners-up spot by being pipped to first place by Terry Lee last week, Tallant edged out Pete Carson over the back three holes in week 16 of the league after they both posted 41 stableford points.
A close third with 40 points was soon-to-be captain Cliffy McKay.
There were two birdies recorded during the round with Bob Smith carding his two on the eight, while Trevor Hodge starred on the 17th.
