THE sky’s the limit for Tynedale’s teenage trampolinist Jack Taylor.

For the 16-year-old pupil of Hexham’s Queen Elizabeth High School earned the national title when he won the U19 elite category at last weekend’s British Schools Trampolining Championships.

Despite being much younger than most of the competition, Jack showed his great promise in the sport by scoring nine for both routines to come out on top of the competition.

Making his way to the national final held at Gateshead Leisure Centre, Jack won earlier rounds in Stockton and Wigan.

He continued his great form when performing two routines at 8.0 difficulty level, although he is now attempting the more challenging 12.0 in future competitions.

Training four times a week under the expert coaching team of Andy Leach and Mike Johnson at Washington’s Apollo Trampoline Club is certainly paying off, and Jack aims to defend his title for the next few years.
