HEXHAM Squash Club’s third team weren’t able to end their season on a high after falling to a slender defeat at the hands of Newbiggin III.
They finished second bottom in Division Seven as they ended with three successive losses, although they did threaten against Newbiggin before going down 2-3 (7-16).
Tim Anderson lost 0-3 and Paul Edmonds 1-3, but the fightback started as Edward Edwardson won 3-2 and Jim Chambers recorded a 3-0 win.
However, Dave Robson wasn’t able to complete the win as he lost 0-3.
