With a winning margin of 18-7, the five players for the hosts all put in great displays as they picked up the points which take them third in the table.
They suffered an early setback, though, when Greg van Hinsbergh went down 1-3 to Ronnie Freeman despite taking a 1-0 lead (15-10, 13-15, 3-15, 0-15). Guy Jepson got the winning run going with a 3-1 victory over Steven Brash (15-5, 15-11, 12-15, 15-11).
Julian Steward defeated Nigel Phillips 3-0 (15-8, 15-11, 15-5) and brother Jon Steward was victorious over Lee Nicholson at 3-1 (15-10, 5-15, 15-12, 15-6).
Despite going tw o ahead, Ian Donkin was given a scare by Ian Sword before finally securing the 3-2 victory (15-14, 15-11, 11-15, 8-15, 15-10).
