GOLF: CAPTAIN Kevin Philipson teamed up with Neil Forsyth to score a comprehensive victory at Allendale .

The duo produced figures of 76-12.5-63.5 to lift the Brown Rosebowl Foursomes trophy, finishing well ahead of runners-up Colin Wraith and Ian Crocker (85-15-70).

Wraith (39) was again to finish second to Philipson in the High Studdon Shield, this time ladies‘ captain Fran (41) topping the field.

The Jubilee Cup was tightly contested, with Peter Robinson (79-17-62) declared champion from Dennis Bowling (77-15-62) after countback. Meanwhile, Jake Reed (31) won the U12 July Medal from Jack Campbell (39).

Steven Hunter (40) won the BXL Trophy at Haltwhistle , with Richard Gibson (38) in second and Richard Watters (36) in third.

In a close finish for the Peter King Memorial Trophy at Bellingham , Tony Anderson (41) edged out competitors Iben Cocker (40) and Tim Cameron (39).

Ian Famelton (68-5-63) won the Ulric Charlton Cup, ahead of runner-up Chris Clark (71-4-67) and third placed Michael King (71-3-68).

The Medal Championship Qualifier was won by David Scott (74-4-70) on countback from Jack Jones (80-10-70). In third was Brian Wood (90-18-72).

The ladies’ Attol Trophy went to Josephine Dickson (36). Jane Jones (35) and Christine Robson (35) weren‘t far behind as they made up the top three.

The winner of the Silver Division of the latest ladies‘ medal at Hexham was Mary Oliver (92-18-74). In second was Val Robinson (85-10-75) and Laura Johnson (90-12-78) was third.

Suzanne Phillips (98-25-73) won the Bronze Division. Sheila Bell (109-30-79) was second and Lyndall Wallace (111-32-79) third.

Phillips (148) then went on to lift the Joan Swan Trophy, finishing ahead of Robinson (152) and Oliver (155).

Carole Mortimer (36) won the Mcintyre Trophy ahead of Anne Moyle (35) and Lyndall Watson (35).
