A PRUDHOE gymnast is off to the national championships.
Emma Richardson (13), a pupil at the town's high school, is heading to the British Team Gymnastics Championships, to be held in Liverpool at the end of July, as part of the City of Newcastle Gymnastics Acadmey's junior national squad.
Emma, who lives in Prudhoe, helped her team qualify with great performances in Edinburgh recently.
At Liverpool, she will compete in floor, trampette, tumble and vault events.
