GOLFERS in Northumberland have the best playing surfaces in the country.
This is according to research carried out by GolfSupport which analysed more than 1,000 TripAdvisor reviews about golf clubs across England, with 28 per cent paying compliments about how well-kept the greens are in the county.
Northumberland courses were also declared the most scenic, split with Dorest at 42 per cent each, although it was deemed the most expensive along with Warkwickshire with 31 per cent of complaints about overpricing.
