Boost for Bellingham gym club

Bellingham Gymnastics Club have had a windfall of £560 to help pay for new equipment and venue hire.

The gymnastics club, which is the only one of its kind in Bellingham for girls and boys of all ages, can now continue to operate thanks to the money from Northumbrian Water.

Xania Milligan from the club said: “We are delighted to have received this money from Northumbrian Water.

“It will be put to good use for our room hire and some nice new equipment for the children to enjoy.”

Leanne Clough from Northumbrian Water, seen here with some of the girls and their coaches, said added: “It’s great that we are able to help clubs such as Bellingham Gymnastics Club which are essential for the community in rural Northumberland.”
