WYLAM Rockettes U16 enjoyed bragging rights in their local derby as they met Haltwhistle United U16.

Georgia Birch hit three and girl of the game Ellen Packham, Abigail Tweedy and Ellie Ridley also netted in the Northumberland Girls League match-up, with goalkeeper Shauna Henderson starring for Haltwhistle.

Wylam Rockettes U12 coninued their resurgence with a 3-2 win over North Shields, defender Leah Daniels taking the girl of the game award as Stacey Billinghurst scored two and Josie Fenwick the other.

Wylam Rockettes U14 held unbeaten leaders Cramlington Town to a 1-1 draw with the help of star goalkeeper Isobel Flynn and an own goal from Emma Boaden’s dangerous cross.

Hexham U15 Girls were only able to field eight players in their county cup defeat to Montagu and North Fenham, although there were good performances from girl of the game Neamh Wyse, goalkeeper Catherine Campbell and defender Eve Atkinson.

Prudhoe Town Women lost for the first time in three games when they went down 3-1 to Durham Cestria in the North East Women‘s Northern Division, Ruth Lewis with the consolation.
