WYLAM Rockettes U13 earned their first points of the season, ending Ponteland United Pride U13's impressive winning run in the process.

Molly Pigg, again named girl of the game for Wylam, produced the winning goal in the 2-1 victory, moments after Grace Owen struck the post.

Lucy Martin opened the scoring for Wylam with a left footed stunner before Ponteland equalised shortly after the break through Olivia Brown.

But it was Molly's strike which saw United's winning run come to an abrupt end, despite Izzy Brown impressing.

Ponteland United Crusaders U13 continue to catch the eye as they thumped Bedlington.

Star player Tori Almond scored four, with Leah Maughan, Aurelia Penman, Anna Mason, Libby Ludlow, Lillie Carmichael and Grace Mawdesley all netting too.

Jessica Doyle starred for Ponteland United Revolution U13 in their 2-0 loss away to Whitley Bay SC.

Wylam Rockettes U16 twice came from behind to edge out Newcastle East End by the odd goal in nine.

Ruth Owen produced the winner after girl of the game Abby Brown hit a hat-trick and Laura O'Neil registered.

Wylam Rockettes U18 looked to cause a shock as they led unbeaten league leaders Blyth Town 4-1 after half an hour.

A hat-trick from Sophie Rogers and a strike from Rosie Spragg had Blyth rattled, but the frontrunners fought back and won the game 7-4 as Wylam tired late on after an excellent effort.

Girl of the game Lottie Murphy hit a consolation for Wylam Rockettes U15 as they lost at home to Whitley Coast Soccer, while Ponteland United U15 defeated Burradon on their travels.
