A SLENDER 2-1 victory over Redheugh Blacks saw Prudhoe Town U13 through to the next round of the Gateshead Youth League Cup.

Regan Townsend and an own goal helped them edge out their rivals, with Ewan Dobson putting in a man of the match display.

James Reay hit a hat-trick for Prudhoe YC Rockets U14 as they were involved in a thrilling 4-4 draw with Blaydon Community Jets. Daniel White scored the goal of the game from 30 yards though, and captain Charlie Waller was star man.

Ponteland United Pythons U12 ended Felling Whites‘ unbeaten record as two goals from Lewis Merrilees and singles from Godwin Chickwem and Adam Newton saw them hit their title rivals for four without reply. Josh Eglon was named man of the match.

After a goalless first half, Prudhoe YC Rockets U12 ran away with it as a hat-trick from man of the match Marco Rea and a goal from James Dixon helped them to a 4-0 win over Whickham Fellside Greens.

Ryan Tomlinson netted a consolation for Prudhoe YC Galaxy U12 as they lost 3-1 to Tyneside Pumas, goalkeepers Nathan Lowes and Keiron Pinchen sharing the man of the match award.

Meanwhile, Ponteland United Blues U12 lost heavily to Redheugh Reds.
